- Make sure that your NeXT isn't configured to be on a "Netinfo
- Network." This is the usual cause of things like this, where the
- system is trying to bind to an upper level netinfo server on the
- network. Usually, if you don't have a network connected, it just gets
- an "destination unreachable" error, but it is likely not getting that
- with the SLIP interfaces configured.
