- BANG Developer SIG
-
- Speaker: Bennett Leeds, Adobe Systems
- Topic: Application Architecture and Design
- Place: NeXT, 123 Saginaw Rd., Redwood City
- Date: Tuesday, September 22nd
- Time: 7:00pm
-
- (Topic Subtitle: "Buddhist Implications in a Judeo-Christian
- World")
-
- Bennett Leeds, a noted developer from Adobe Systems, will give
- his views on designing applications. He holds views that he
- says, "runs counter to what talented, experienced programmers
- do every day." Topics to be discussed include the good and
- the bad in the Application Kit, the relative merits of toolkits
- on other platforms and a few tips on designing portable
- applications for evolving operating systems and multiple
- platforms.
-
- He's told us that he doesn't mind dodging a few darts during
- his presentation (so bring sharp ones) but that his real
- concern is that not many people are interested in ways to
- structure applications. We told him he's wrong. We hope you
- can make it and help back us up on that.
-
- Members and non-members alike are welcome.
- There is no charge to attend.
-
- Note: If you have any ideas for future topics or speakers (or
- would like to volunteer to speak on a relevant developer topic)
- please send email to ken_fromm@bang.org or call (415) 949-4933.

- BANG Sponsored NeXTSTEP 3.0 Upgrade Service
-
- The proposal for a BANG sponsored NeXTSTEP 3.0 upgrade service that
- was mentioned in previous meeting announcements hasn't generated
- enough interest to make it worthwhile. Another more informal option
- may present itself in the future. Watch this space for details.
