- Uhm, yeah. The *environment* is all part of the GUI. Dialog box
- layout, etc. is *all* affected by the imaging model and the API the
- GUI environment presents. A menu *isn't* a menu. Some work better
- than others. The NeXT menus all work smoothly, are detachable, and
- present information in a visually readable and consistent way. Doing
- drag-and-drop, for example - it's very easy on the NeXT, and as such,
- nearly every application has it. Same with services. These are part
- of the GUI's API. I don't see that kind of interoperability on other
- platforms yet, mostly because it is such a pain to do on them.
