  13. Help connect HP LJ II with Postscript Cartridge to Next Station

  15. Can some one tell me how to do this please. What I have is a serial
  16. interface 300 dpi postscript cart equipped printer which I connected
  17. to port a of the next with a Null-modem cable made as specified in the
  18. appendix of the NeXT user manual. Since the printmanager seem to know
  19. about laserjet III, laserjet 2D, Okidata laser, many NEC models, I tired
  20. all of them with no luck at all. May be I am missing something. Have I got
  21. to set the serial port with special permissions? I made sure the printcap
  22. (via nidump printcap) entry looked okay, i.e 9600 baud and port a. The error
  23. I get is that lpq -l report time out printer not responding etc.. But looking
  24. at the printer nothing SEEMS to come there.
