- the other day i also discovered this directory and decided to alter and
- use one of the images as an icon for something or other. that being the
- case, i'd also like to know about copyrights and such.

- however, that is not my main question here... see i used icon to edit the
- tiff image, but everytime i tried to save it, it would *disappear* from my
- directory. if i tried to quit without saving, it'd prompt me SAVE or QUIT
- and without fail everytime i tried to save it *pouf* it'd be gone.

- i did this several time with the same result. the file's protections were
- ok for it to be accessed and updated by the owner (who was me... uhh i
- mean me as in "ed murphy" not me as in account "me" :))

- anyone with a similar experience or possibly a suggestion would both be
- welcome.
