  11. I am one of the thousands of people waiting patiently for the 3.0 half of my  
  12. CD-ROM/3.0 Upgrade bundle to arrive.  However, I "have access to" a 3.0 CD,  
  13. because it came with a friend's Station which already had 3.0 installed.  There  
  14. is an "Upgrade_3.0" on the CD, but when you try to run it, it says it wants to  
  15. be owned by root and be setuid; "see your system manager for assistance".  I  
  16. love that line; I AM THE FRIKIN SYSTEM MANAGER! is my universal reaction.  What  
  17. they really mean to say is, "ask a UNIX weenie for assistance".

  19. But I digress.  The problem in this case is that I know how to do those things  
  20. to Upgrade_3.0.app; what I don't know is what instructions I am missing, like  
  21. "do a rm foo.bar, or your system will self destruct during the upgrade."  Can  
  22. someone let me know what to do?  Specifically for 3.0PR2 to 3.0, which I assume  
  23. doesn't require a floppy.
