- Unlike most of the people that have responded to this post, I have no
- connection with any maker of any product, but I am a satisfied
- customer of ASW's Engage. Jayson was very friendly to deal with,
- even called me from the States when I was having a problem...
-
- As far as I know, NeXTstep 3.0 has not changed it's Dock to accomodate
- more than the 13 apps. There are a few PD applications that allow you
- to extend it in some manner or another, as well as the commercial
- programmes...
-
- Most of the extenders work on the same pricnciple, you place in your
- real dock a programme that you launch at login. To add programmes to
- your "fake" dock, you drag the icon of the app, file, or folder you
- wish to add on top of the icon of the Dock Extender in the real Dock...
-
- The biggest probelm I've seen is that if you double click on a file,
- such as a .create file, it will not check to see if the DockExtender
- programme has a copy of it sitting there to be launched, instead,
- it will launch a copy and take a place in the row at the bottowm
- of the screen. The only way around it is to launch the application
- first, and then open the file second.

- Just my tuppence worth,
