  13.     I have a new NeXT system on which 2.1 was incompletely
  14. installed. Since 3.0 was so close to being released, I decided to wait
  15. and do a complete install of 3.0. I hope to be able to do this next
  16. week and have a few questions...

  18.   1.    What I want to do is nuke the existing system and do a
  19.     completely fresh install of 3.0 (i.e. replace everything --
  20.     not just things that are new in 3.0). There are enough things
  21.     missing from my copy of 2.1 that I don't want to risk those
  22.     things not being installed when I go to 3.0.
  23.  
  24.     Is the installer smart enough to ensure this won't happen?

  26.   2.    I have a Mac CD-ROM drive. Can I install from this? (It is a
  27.     SCSI device and I have the appropriate cables, terminator,
  28.     etc.)
