- I have a new NeXT system on which 2.1 was incompletely
- installed. Since 3.0 was so close to being released, I decided to wait
- and do a complete install of 3.0. I hope to be able to do this next
- week and have a few questions...
-
- 1. What I want to do is nuke the existing system and do a
- completely fresh install of 3.0 (i.e. replace everything --
- not just things that are new in 3.0). There are enough things
- missing from my copy of 2.1 that I don't want to risk those
- things not being installed when I go to 3.0.
-
- Is the installer smart enough to ensure this won't happen?
-
- 2. I have a Mac CD-ROM drive. Can I install from this? (It is a
- SCSI device and I have the appropriate cables, terminator,
- etc.)
-
- Thanks.
-
- Michael.
