  12. NeXT has completed an excellent job in seamlessly writing an application for  
  13. upgrading systems from 2.1 to 3.0.  Our office moved from a stand alone 2.1 cube  
  14. to its own office lan with 3.0 machines running Oracle in less then 30 minutes.   
  15. (This does not include the time required to upgrade the cube).

  17. Upgrading from 2.1 to 3.0 took about 20 minutes to configure and an additional  
  18. 2-3 hours wait time for the upgrade.  All system configurations are saved as  
  19. well as a nice front end to make on the fly modifications before installation.

  21. If you were hesitant about upgrading for stability or configuration reasons, I  
  22. suggest you go ahead and make the upgrade.  I almost upgraded before backing up  
  23. after performing an upgrade on another machine first.  :-)
