  13. I would like to take the plunge and upgrade my 2400 baud modem to a 9600 V.32,  
  14. V.42bis Fax modem. It looks like the Supra and the Zyxel faxmodems offer the  
  15. best price/performance.

  17. I understand the NeXT fax support did not work properly under NS 2.1, and that   
  18. B&W has just announced a program that makes the Zyxel work properly with NS 2.1  
  19. and 3.0 (with other modem support promised)
  20.  
  21. Questions for those with net.wisdom:

  23. 1. Does NS 3.0 "fix" the fax support (as NeXT seems to claim), and if so, what  
  24. faxmodems work without 3rd party software additions?

  26. 2. Can someone tell us how well B&W solution works with Zyxel modems? I heard  
  27. that the earlier ROM version of the Zyxel has fax-bugs (version 4.13, I think).  
  28. Is a later ROM version required with this modem (version 5.xx)?

  30. 3. Does anyone know how the Supra modems compare with the Zyxel?
