  30. I(we) have a Gateway 2000 486DX2/50 EISA (not ISA and not 66mHz) but it comes
  31. with 128KB direct mapped cashe.  The manual shows how it can be easily
  32. upgraded to a 256KB two-way set associative cache system.  On my system board
  33. you need the following:

  35.     One 128K SRAM SIMM module
  36.     Two tag SRAMs (28 ppin DIP IC)
  37.     One LRU SRAM (28 ppin DIP IC)
  38.  
  39. no setting of switches and/or jumpers.
  40. Again, this is for the Gateway 2000 486DX2/50 EISA using Intel's 82350
  41. EISA chipset.

  43. I suggest if you're gonna do something like that, wait til *your* sales
  44. rep returns after the holiday.
