  12. I use AppleTalk Remote to connect to the network on campus from home for
  13. email and printing and news. I have an Imagewriter at home that I use
  14. occasionally.  The big hassle for me at the moment is using ARA after
  15. printing on the Imagewriter.  I get a message in the Chooser that the
  16. printer port is in use and I can't enable AppleTalk even when there's no
  17. printing going on or any other application open.  It seems that I have to
  18. reboot to enable Appletalk, which then takes effect after rebooting, so I
  19. have to reboot again.  Undoubtedly there's something obvious I'm missing. 
  20. It can't be this convoluted.  Any ideas?
