- I frequently use my PowerBook in a library -- the keyboard is fairly
- quietly, the disk motor is quiet, and I've turned down the sound on
- the alert beeps. But when I start it up (or if I reboot for some
- reason) I get the startup chord, which in a quiet library is rather
- annoying, or at least that's my perception. Is there any way to
- turn down the sound on the start chord? (When I think about it
- in advance, I turn it on before I go to the library, put it to
- sleep, and wake it up when I get there -- a work around but only
- when I remember).
