- 6.0.8L is not available in the United States. Apple will know nothing about
- it if you ask them, and will not distribute it in the US. Several people
- on the net have said "oh yeah, I have *that*", but they have all been non-US
- Apple customers (there was someone from Canada, even). The legality of FTPing
- 6.0.8L to someone in the US hasn't been decided by the non-lawyers on the net.

- ALLEGEDLY, 6.0.8 wasn't 100% debugged for use with the Classic II ROMs, and
- Apple decided System 7 was what everyone wanted anyway, so the ROMs refuse to
- boot with any system that isn't System 7; 6.0.8L 'pretends' to be System 7 when
- the ROMs do their check. So, if you know how to hack the system...
