  11. A friend of mine is having some problems, as he is typesetting stuff in
  12. foreign languages, and there are special accented chgaracters in
  13. Turkish/polish and other langiages, that are not found in the ISO Latin
  14. 1 character set.  Currently I have made him use Times and Helvetica
  15. only, and then use the foreign system software to get the character
  16. sets. On the developer CD he can find most systems, and all the system 7
  17. do have a TrueType font with the wanted characters. I am not sure if
  18. there is an easier way to do this ?  This way the comany who does the
  19. printouts has to have the foreign system as well.

  21. I just looked at Localizer 3.8, and the installer scripts that comes
  22. with it on the developer CD. And it seems that the Turkish script
  23. installs some standard resources, a new systemfont with characters
  24. remapped, and then uses the Roman script!!! I was under the impression
  25. that you had to change script system when you where not using Latin1.
  26. Things designed/written under turkish system will show up with the
  27. special codes replaced by 2-char combinations under a plain Roman script
  28. (danish or US).  So what is going on ? is the installer scripts on this
  29. CD outdated ? How can I handle such a situation ?
