  12. I finally traced a problem I was having with reading in the prefs file
  13. of my QuickBASIC application to an init conflict with a combination of
  14. the SUM Shield init and Apollo (an application launching control
  15. panel). Has anyone else observed this problem? 
  16.  
  17. Is it possible for an init conflict to mess up the file manager in
  18. such a way that I would get troubles reading in my preferences file?
  19. My program finds the file ok and gets the first line, but bombs when
  20. reading the rest when SUM Shield and Apollo are installed.
