  11. people are using a VERY GOOD mail encryption technology called PGP (Pretty
  12. Good Privacy) and asked for the following info...

  14. PGP 2.0 is discussed in detail in Sept 1992 "BoardWatch" BBS magazine.

  16. PGP uses some RSA-ish stuff and other cryptographic technologies. And is
  17. IMPORTED from abroad and therefore in theory can be exported from this
  18. fascist sick country controlled by the NSA.

  20. PGP  2.0 uses IDEA (International Data Encryption Algorithm" from the
  21. Univ. of Switzerland (ETH Zurich) and thus is not controlled or crippled
  22. by NSA "plants" or NSA restrictions.

  24. PGP SOURCE can be obtained from locations directed from its original
  25. author at address "prz@sage.cgd.ucar.edu" but if you bother Philip
  26. Zimmerman unless you are a researcher with important issues, it would be
  27. tacky. Instead FTP the MSDOS source directly from outside the country!

  30. source files "PGP20SRC.ZIP"

  32. If you are not a programmer this knowledge will do you no good for the Mac.
