- At various times it has been suggested that the MacApp3Tech$ mailing list
- be gatewayed into a Usenet group, so posts to the group get sent to the
- mailing list and vice-versa. The person at Apple who manages the
- AppleLink/Internet gateway has even offered to set up the newsgroup
- gateway, but he doesn't want to deal with all the Usenet politics involved
- in getting the group approved.
-
- The way this would work is that the group would be "moderated". The
- moderator address would simply be the mailing list address at Apple, and
- messages sent there would automatically be posted back to Usenet.
-
- How many people would be interested in such a group? I would; I subscribe
- to MacApp3Tech$ now, but I'd rather read it with a newsreader than as
- individual email messages. Would anyone be interested enough to deal with
- running the Usenet vote? I could do it if I had to, but I'd rather not.
