- Summary: How should the standard ShowClipboard command in the Edit menu behave?
- Lines: 19
-
-
- Which of the following three behaviors of the "Show Clipboard" command
- in the Edit menu is the recommended one, according to the latest
- Human Interface Guidelines?
-
- 1. "Show Clipboard" toggles with "Hide Clipboard" when the Clipboard
- window is VISIBLE (although not necessarily frontmost), as
- old MacWrite does and the original IM1 seems to imply.
-
- 2. "Show Clipboard" toggles with "Hide Clipboard" when the Clipboard
- is the active (i.e., frontmost) window.
-
- 3. "Show Clipboard" always remains as it is, and never toggles with
- "Hide Clipboard", as Finder 7.0 does.
-
- Personally I find the 3rd solution is the best, but that seemingly
- contradicts the Interface Guidelines chapter in IM1.
- I'd like to hear your opinions.
- PLEASE REPLY BY E-MAIL, I'll summarize if anyone requests so.
