- My boss' PowerBook 170 won't print, and I can't figure out what the
- problem is. Here's the configuration:
-
- PB 170 with a PowerPort/Gold modem and Envisio NDA/030 video card.
- Running System 7.0.1 with most of the TuneUp 1.1.1 package (the actual
- TuneUp extension does not work with the Envisio software), the
- PowerPort fax software, and ARA.
-
- Normal operations, printing via AppleTalk, ARA, and modem functions
- all perform fine. However, when I try to print to a direct-connect
- printer (ImageWriter or Personal LaserWriter LS), it gives an error
- message about not being able to find the printer. I've turned off
- AppleTalk, turned of ARA's "Answer calls" box, and chosen the printer
- (hooked to the printer port), but I'm not sure what else I have to do.
-
- Is there some sort of conflict that I'm overlooking? Does anyone have
- any suggestions?
-
- Thanks,
- David J. Whelan
