- the 68000 was an interesting theoretical micro-processor implementation of
- a VAX, the unfortunate part is that Motorola kept developing it..;-)

- speed of processing is affected by three main factors: clock speed, cycle
- count for required instructions, and instruction power. and INTEL is
- very good on ALL counts. ( and don't try to compare a R4000 to a 8086, or

- no. the processor has very little to do with the types of uses of a
- computer ( excepting perhaps large floating point.. ), nearly all supply
- a wide enough range of instructions to suit all problems !
