- I haver a friend who is typesetting some stuff in multiple languages. He
- has some problems, as Turkish, Polish and other languages uses special
- accented characters not available in the standard font. Is there any
- suggestions how to handle this ?
-
- Currently I have told him to reeplace his font selection with Times and
- Helvetica, and then use the system software from the country he is
- writing software for. Their system 7 versions on the Developer CD
- contains TrueType fonts that works. Only problem here is the printer has
- to use the foreign system too when printing.
-
- Is there any way to get an extended font ? I know I can make a set for
- him using FontMonger, and combine the accents and the letters in there.
- But is there a better solution ? He got a eastern version of
- Times/Helvetica from his printer, but they do not have the Turkish
- characters, and seems to be targeted at Poland and other countries with
- same alphabet.
