  10. I was thinking about new and nifty ways of presenting the University of
  11. Waterloo's Faculty of Mathematics to applicants.  Since students *love*
  12. to read, I thought that an interactive, pictorial medium may be the best
  13. way to hold their attention.  I have a Mac and have seen some great
  14. Hypercard applications, and since many high schools are equipped with
  15. Macs, Hypercard seems to be a reasonable choice.  I do have a few
  16. questions, and I hope that someone in this group will help me.  I'd like
  17. to apologize in advance if any of my questions are really stupid. ;-)

  19. 1.  Is hypercard downward compatible?  I have version 2.? on System 7.

  21. 2.  I would hate to think that all this work would be inaccessible 
  22.     to schools that only have DOS machines.  With this in mind,
  23.     would I be able to convert it to a DOS machine?  Or should I develop
  24.     it in the DOS environment and then convert it to the Mac?
  25.     Any suggestions?

  27. 3.  Is colour a possibility?  Would this affect conversions to/from DOS?

  29. 4.  I read something in this newsgroup about compiling applications.  
  30.     Doesn't locking the application prevent modifications?
