  15. I have installed some 4MB PAL SIMMs in a couple of Macintosh II computers
  16. here, and would like to know why they do not work the way the literature
  17. says they should; They only work as 1MB modules when all four are installed
  18. in bank B, but will work as 4MB modules when all four are installed in bank
  19. A. The SIMMs are from Microtech, and they don't have an explanation.

  21. Additionally, 4MB modules will work in bank B if there are 4MB modules in
  22. bank A.
