- Hi folks! I've got a friend whose got a 320 meg external SCSI hard drive
- attached to his Macintosh IIcx 8/80. Problem is, things were working fine
- up until about a week ago when suddenly the damned thing wouldn't recognize
- the hard drive. The Mac boots up fine, but when it gets to MAC EKG (init),
- it says "Fatal error 1002" and then continues the boot. I get the internal
- HD icon, but no external HD icon. I tried booting disabling all INITS and
- the same thing happened- no external HD icon. We tried chaning the SCSI
- ID interface from 6 to 1 and nothing changed it. We warmed up the external
- drive for a good 30 seconds before booting up the Mac- no change.
- What could the problem be? Is it SCSI or is it a problem with the HD
- itself?
-
- Any information is greastly appreciated- please reply by E-MAIL if
- possible. Thanks.
