  13. I wanted information about the DEST scanner. It was advertised in MacZone. It
  14. says it comes with RECOGNISE OCR software. It is capable of scanning 8.5 size
  15. paper with 10 pages of automatic feeder. the cost is $649.00 with software.
  16. My questions:
  17. * how good the RECOGNISE OCR Software is??
  18. * Ad. says that it's capable of scanning at 300dpi resolution. Is it just a 
  19.   black and white scanner or it takes the grey scale??.
  20. * Does anyone has phone no of the manufacturer [ i believe it's DEST].

  22. I am asking these question on net b'cos MacZone was not able to give anymore
  23. info than what it says in the Ad. [ which doesn't say much!]. 
  24. Since, MacZone doesn't give money back guarantee on this system , i can't 
  25. just buy the system without complete knowledge about how good it is.
