  10. I am having a strange problem with a Hayes 2400 wall Modem with Quick LinkII
  11. in a system having a Deskwriter (2.1), Mac LC, with System 7.0.1, tuned.

  13. The Deskwriter prints ordinary text files with various fonts just fine.
  14.  
  15. But when I try to print a file previously created by a QL-II TTY modem session,
  16. I get a few lines of print then the printer bombs (red error lite on),
  17. the Mac locks up until it times out, and after some text the printed message
  18. is, "datacomm buffer overflow, no DTR handshake."  I can look at the file with
  19. the QL-II editor and it looks just fine.

  21. It's independent of whether I select "full page" or "line at a time" from the
  22. print menu.

  24. Same problem occurs if I use the uSoft WORKS data comm application instead
  25. of QL-II.  Printer acts flakey and tends to lock up system with red error
  26. lite coming on.

  28. If I write a script for QL-II that includes "Printer ON" I get error 1
  29. when the script hits that line; same error happens if I toggle the printer on
  30. during a QL-II tty modem session.

  32. The same application and scripts work flawlessly on a IIsi with 6.0.7, a 
  33. Zoom Faxmodem and LJ-IIIp.
