- Hi, hardware specialists,
- hope this is the best group to post this to...
-
- I have a Mac IIci with an internal 80 mb drive. Sometimes it starts spinning
- without any apparent reason without the disk light on and without MacTools
- diskdrive indicator icon showing. This does not seem to do any harm, but it
- is annoying and I'm curious of what could cause this. I have upgraded to
- sys 7 but this started a while back when I was still using sys 6.0.7.
- Neither Norton or MacTools notice any errors on the disk. The disk has been
- holding about 70-75 mb for a long time. Of course I could backup all my
- stuff (yes, I do backup my thing, though not incrementally) and initialize
- the disk, but it would be very time-consuming and as a matter of fact, very
- inconvenient for me, as I would have to set up a lot of things again in my
- SoftPC partition, which holds very valuable data.
-
- If there is anybody out there that knows about this problem and can even
- advice a cure for it, I would be most obliged to him.
