-
- In my manual, they say to NEVER completely drain a PB100's battery. It
- damages the lead-acid batteries to drain them all the way, and they
- won't hold a charge as well after that.
-
- They also say to completely drain the PB140 and PB170's memory once a
- month (or so). They claim that it aids the lithium batteries, and they
- will hold a charge better if you do this.
-
- By the way -- THIS IS FROM MEMORY; check your own manual before doing
- any of this!!
-
- With my PB100, I'm getting about one hour of heavy-duty use on a charge
- (heavy-duty means accessing the HD a lot, and the HD never spins down).
- I'm planning on upgrading the memory so I can use a RAM disk. Does
- anyone have recommendations for the partitioning of the memory? I was
- considering 3Mb RAM and 5Mb RAM disk.
