  28. I ran into the same problem recently. After two days of backing up,
  29. reformating, reinstalling, etc. I finally concluded that MODE32 seems to be
  30. incompatible with certain drive brands (or the other way around, depends on
  31. your view).
  32. I tried different driver software,eg SilverLining, FWD, Apple, etc. with
  33. the same (negative) result. There are no problems if I boot from a SyQuest
  34. cartridge. I eventually gave up and decided to buy a small 30MB disk to
  35. boot from.
