  20. Very interesting...  I had this very same problem with my very old
  21. Miniscribe 20.  I have zero idea what causes it, and I know what to do
  22. to get it spinning (on my drive).  There's this little thing (called
  23. an actuator by a sticker on the drive) on the side that looks like a
  24. position sensor/servo combo.  It's a little arm on a shaft that sticks
  25. sideways out of the drive, and the shaft rotates the arm around.
  26. There's a sensor that the arm can rotate into.  Must be to measure
  27. position.  The sticker says "Do not rotate actuator".  The problem
  28. occurs when the little arm is aligned with the sensor.  So what I do
  29. is turn the power off and rotate the actuator so that it's no longer
  30. aligned with the sensor.  Now when I power-on it takes off a'spinnin'.
