- Greetings Mac abusers. I have a question which I hope someone can answer.
- I have loaded a waveTable synth with 512 bytes of sine wave. Is there any
- chance that playing a tone with this synth will produce something at all
- aproximating a sine wave. My experiments thus far have made me think not.
- Is there some magic loading that will make the sound output achieve
- optimal results.
-
- The wave I get has a near sawtooth positive side, a small spike just after the
- negative going zero transition, and a near sinusoidal negative half. The
- frequency seems to be about right (except on the quadra where it seems a tad
- low) but the wave does not look (or sound) like a sine wave.
-
- BTW it's possible that sound is blecherous AND I'm an idiot, but I hope not.
-
- thanks for your assistance.

- Mike
