  22. I would be very happy for them to be profitable and sell us good computers
  23. at good prices.

  25. HEY APPLE!  Have you guys been watching this PB100 sideshow?  Obviously there's
  26. a big market out here for portable Macs in the $500 - $900 range.  They don't
  27. have to be blazing fast, have tons of RAM, huge hard disks or state of the art
  28. screens.  Lots of us would like a cheap portable to compliment our desktop
  29. machines at a price we can justify, and we're willing to accept some
  30. compromises.

  32. When Price Club started selling the PB100's there was an article in MacWeek
  33. that stated this was an "experiment" by Apple.  I'd say the experiment was
  34. a success!  So go ahead and be "heartless", but keep selling those $700 Macs
  35. at discount stores.  Of course if Apple announced it was going to sell
  36. $500 PB100's some people would still be pissed off at Apple because they paid
  37. $700 for theirs, but you can't keep everybody happy....
