  13. I have a 400MB hard disk in a Quadra 900 which has developed a
  14. couple of bad sectors. I detected the problem when I ran Norton
  15. Utilities "Speed Disk" on the drive. I immediately backed up
  16. the entire hard drive and tried to re-format the hard disk
  17. using Apple's HD SC Setup from the Disk Tools disk that ships
  18. w/ the Quadra. It would "think about it" (spinning disk icon)
  19. for a while, then come up with a dialog box stating that it 
  20. had failled.

  22. Is there another utility I should be using? I know that I need
  23. to re-format the drive so that the bad sectors can be mapped 
  24. out, speed disk only over writes "dummy" files over the sectors
  25. so that they don't get used.
