- YES, it should be fixed. I just spent 6 months trying to get Apple to help
- me with a problem I was having with a blue tint on my Apple 16" monitor. I
- finally got help from a tech at one of the computer stores who ordered a
- new "Video/CRT" module (a PC board in a metal box that literally plugs into
- the CRT) and it fixed the problem. He had to go throught the entire
- alignment procedure to get the new module calibrated, which took a couple
- of hours. During this process, we had a similar problem - too much green
- drive. We found a switch on the module (not documented anywhere in the
- offical Apple service information) that fixed the problem when moved to the
- other position.
-
- Anyway, if you have a friendly Apple Service shop near you, just show them
- (or tell them about) the problem and have it fixed under warranty. The
- video module contains ALL the active circuitry between the video cable and
- CRT, so replacing it should do the problem if they can't otherwise adjust
- it.
