  31. Well, first of all, the original post came from cnc@apple.com which I
  32. assume indicates an Apple employee. Would they be allowed to buy Symantec
  33. products? Anyhow, fragmenting doesn't really shrink disk capacity. Disk
  34. FIrst Aid (and Norton) will often recover space on disks from pieces of
  35. trash files left laying around on the disk. Among other times, these can
  36. occur if a program has created a temporary file and then the system
  37. crashes and you hit the reset button.
