- With due respect to Steve, I would venture to guess that he is not the
- person who patched and configured CAP for his local system,
- a process that will require (or produce) a competent
- system-manager-equivalent. I use CAP for printing and NFS/Share
- for disk access and I guarantee that you will not think CAP is free if
- you are the one installing it. There is a newsgroup
- (comp.protocols.appletalk) largely devoted to the care and feeding of the
- thing. If you are going to be supporting many users, I'm sure it's worth it.
- If it's just a handful, spend a few bucks and buy NFS/Share
- (tech@intercon.com) and keep your life simple. I did have some initial
- system hangs which were due to bugs in Apple's Quadra Ethernet driver,
- no problems since that was upgraded.
