- All this talk about different word processor features... However, I have
- yet to see or hear of a word processor that supports "scientific-style"
- references.
-
- In all scientific publications, each article that is referenced is
- assigned a unique number that is cited multiple times throughout the
- document. I find it hard to believe that a "standard" such as Word 5.0
- does not support such an essential feature. Maybe non-scientific
- users don't care, but to scientific writers this is crucial.
-
- And yes, I am aware that third party software (such as EndNote, or
- ProCite) can provide flexible reference managament, but it is just
- too combersome to use two programs for such a simple task.
