  11. Omnipage Professional is their current top of the line product. Omnipage Direct
  12. is a stripped down version that works from within programs like Word etc. It
  13. comes with some less than great scanning software. Go for the Professional
  14. version if you are serious. The type of scanner you have makes a big difference
  15. in both accuracy and speed. I recently saw a PC World (I think it was that
  16. magazine) review of a variety of OCR software run on a variety of scanners. The
  17. top performers were the HP and the Umax. Both these scanners come equiped to
  18. run with Macs. Unfortunately, we still dont have the right drivers to run
  19. Omnipage Pro with our HP Scanner, so I cant tell you how great it is. We are
  20. still limping along with Omnipage Direct.
