  15. I am looking for a general purpose text editor with the following
  16. capabilities.  If anyone could recommend one, I would appreciate it.

  20. 1) Free/Shareware (or under $30 or so commercial)
  21. 2) Multiple files open at once
  22. 3) Can view/edit files of a few hundered K (100K, 300K?)
  23. 4) Adjustable tabs and auto-indent preferred
  24. 5) Adjustable font/size for viewing/editing
  25. 6) System 7 compatible
  26. 7) Not too large in code size.

  28. Teach Text can't do 2,3,4, or 5
  29. I have tried Alpha and found that too much of a pain and a bit buggy
  30. (4.0.3)
  31. I have also used MicroEmacs and can't stand that either.
