- I am interested in buying an OCR software and
- would like to hear from people who are using one.
- There are quite a few on the market and they all cost
- quite a bit so I would like to find how people like
- the software they bought.
-
- In particular, I am confused by the OCR softwares
- put out by Caere Corp. They started with OmniPage 1.0,
- eventually put out OmniPage 3.0. Then they released
- OmniPage Professional. This year, they released OmniPage
- Direct. What are the differences among these packages?
- Is OmniPage Direct supposed to be the OCR of choice
- because it's the software released most recently?
-
- Also, I see an ad for TypeReader in which
- the company claimed that it's the "best" OCR available
- and has a side-grade offer of $149.00 till December 1992.
- does anybody have any experience with this OCR software?
-
- Thanks in advance for your advice.
-
- Sincerely yours,
