  21. This is still WRONG. I wrote the author of the FAQ months ago and
  22. explained the error, and I posted to the group re the error after
  23. that. Why has this not been corrected, especially since it is
  24. "question of the year"?

  26. I know Maxima. It is a friend of mine. And, Maxima can do more than
  27. make extra memory available as a RAM disk!! Right now I have 14,336K
  28. available as full application memory under System 6.07 -- thanks to
  29. Maxima and an understanding wife who consented to buying more
  30. simms!! Also thx to Maxima, I ALSO have 3052K available as a RAM
  31. disk!

  33. My 3052K RAM disk is a portion of RAM set aside to act like a disk until
  34. there is a loss of electrical power.
  35.  
  36. On the other hand, my 14,336K application memory is as usable as any 
  37. other RAM to load iapplications and documents into RAM and dynamically
  38. use them.

  40. Maxima is a great product that does much more than create a RAM disk!!!!
  41.  
  42. Please correct the FAQ.
