  12. What you want is not possible with Hermes.  Frank is using the CTS line to
  13. detect a ring on the modem.  His rationale is simple - don't trust the
  14. auto-=answer feature of the modem, because the BBS may go down and leave the
  15. modem answering calls and costing users money.

  17. I understand that Second Sight 2.x has a HWHS feature built in now, but think
  18. I've heard something about difficulty on the older Macs (68000 based).  You
  19. should look into that anyway, if you can afford SS.

  21. I have no details on FristClass BBS.  DOn't know how it handles the modem - I
  22. just know it has a terrible command-line interface for users who don't have
  23. their software.
