- For comparison purposes, I have had a Compudyne 4DX/33 (which is the same as
- the Twinhead Slimnote, the Altima 433, Commax Lightwave, and Tandy 4860) for
- about 2.5 months.

- It has 64 shades. I don't find the display dim at all. There is very
- little ghosting, and I never have problems finding the cursor.
- The keyboard is pretty stiff, but I guess I bang on mine
- more quietly than some people, since I find that it is pretty quiet.

-
- It may be unusable to some people. I've become quite accustomed to it and
- have no problem whatsoever with it. For me, it definitely beats having an
- external device to lug around. I use it to do your basic Windows navigation.
- When I am doing CAD type stuff (schematic capture), I usually use a mouse.
-
- Unless you adopt Apple's scheme of trackball and keyboard (a great idea that
- I wish clone makers would clone!), then there really isn't a good place to
- put a trackball that will satisfy many people. You just can't have it all.
- Luckily, I believe that most people can get used to anything, once they stop
- bitching about it...

-
- I would recommend the machine. I've had no troubles with it. It is fast,
- small, and light. The battery lasts a little over 2 hours, which isn't bad
- for a 486DX-33 machine. I posted a review of the machine a couple months back.
- I'd be happy to e-mail anyone my review.
