  11. I'm one of a two student team doing a design project 
  12. in preparation for graduation with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.

  14. What we are trying to find is a cross assembler for the i8051 that
  15. will run on a PC or compatible.
  16.  
  17. The stock stuff that Intel sells is too much for the pocket book
  18. and we were hoping to find a public domain assembler that would
  19. suffice.  We will be using an EPROM burner for the final transfer
  20. to the microcontroller.  If we can just get something that won't
  21. break our bank acct, we'll consider buying it.

  23. I've heard that there are C compilers/assemblers that may also do
  24. the job so any info on those would be appreciated as well.
