  32. While I have not tried it on every PS/2 model, I have not run across any
  33. that can't do 57.6Kbps on the integrated serial port.  As an example,
  34. this is being typed in a DOS TCP/IP SLIP session on a 56.7Kbps locked DTE
  35. rate... on a PS/2 Model 50-021 that was upgraded with an Aox MicroMASTER
  36. 486-33MHz.  The software is running in an OS/2 2.0 DOS session and it
  37. is fully buffering the serial port so I'm not losing any characters.
  38. (OS/2 fully supports extended hardware buffering on my platform which has
  39. an integrated NS16550 which does not normally have FIFO mode enabled!)

  44. advantage of the FIFO mode if running under OS/2 2.0.
