- Hi there !
-
- This is going to be an off the topic answer for what your problem is..
- I havd the same problem with an old system I had, I was trying to put in a new
- MFM hard drive. and I did not know the HD's codes or anything.. So this is what
- I did I got ahold of a disk called "Disk Manager" produced by Ontrack computer
- systems Inc.
- Now what it does is formates your HD for you, and set your bios up
- automatically for you to. (yes I had an award bios) So all I had to do was run
- the program and it set it up for me, now that is for the Seagate Hard drive, I
- am not sure if it will work on the IDE drives or not. But it might be worth
- checking it out or finding something that runs the same...
-
- I hope this helps you!!
