  14. I don't have a clue what's going on with my PC.  Someone help me PLEEZE?

  16. Here is what's happening:

  18. When I start-up, it says;
  19. "Hard Disk Failure.
  20.  Press F1 to continue, F2 to run Setup Program"
  21.  
  22. Of course, F1 doesn't work, so I go ahead with F2 and I am now in the
  23. ROM Setup Screen.
  24.  
  25. It displays all the right information, including VGA Card, and Hard Disk
  26. Type (In this case Type 48).  It would say;
  27.  
  28. "Esc to reboot, F1 to help, F10 to continue"
  29.  
  30. Having nothing better to do, I press F10 and it works!!!  It starts up
  31. and everything is fine!!!  Well, almost.  At some point, it HANGS.

  33. This happens everytime and it drives me NUTS!!!

  35. My PC is ACMA 386/25MHz, with Phoenix ROM BIOS version 1.10.00 1985-1989,
  36. ATI VGA Wonder card, Seagate RLL 120MB Hard Drive.
  37.  
  38. I can always take it to the repair shop, but I didn't want to miss my work
  39. to carry this (heavy) sucker all the way and listens to the BS'ing salesman.
