- I recently upgraded my system in order to take full advantage of
- OS/2. I specified to the seller that I wanted a 16550 UART on
- the COM ports so that I can do high speed communications. The
- only problem is that we are having difficulty finding an IDE
- controller card with such a UART for the COM ports. So...
- Can anyone help me? Is there an IDE controller with 2 serial
- and 1 parallel port and a socketed 16550 UART or other socketed
- UART that I can replace with a 16550? If I have to go the separate
- COM card route, can anyone recommend one of those with the same
- specs?
- Any info is helpful, please be as detailed (Manufacturer, price,
- phone #) as possible. Thank you.
