- The system goes through it's memory test then Posts the
- message:
-
- 8042 GATE ERROR
- SYSTEM HALTED
-
- This happens even if I remove
- everything except the keyboard (Northgate OMniKey 102) and
- display (old MGA).
-
- This happened after I asked our local vendor if he could upgrade the BIOS
- on this 386DX machine so that we could have a user definable
- disk type (e.g. IDE) he did it one day and claims he tested it
- but I get this error.
-
- I finaly spoke with him about it and he claims it's my *keyboard* ?
-
- The keyboard was working fine, and I swap it with another 386
- machine's keyboard (which is working fine) and it says the same thing.
-
- Anybody suggestions will be appreciated!
-
- Thanks
- Joe
