  11. The system goes through it's memory test then Posts the
  12. message:

  14. 8042 GATE ERROR
  15. SYSTEM HALTED

  17. This happens even if I remove
  18. everything except the keyboard (Northgate OMniKey 102) and
  19. display (old MGA).

  21. This happened after I asked our local vendor if he could upgrade the BIOS
  22. on this 386DX machine so that we could have a user definable
  23. disk type (e.g. IDE) he did it one day and claims he tested it
  24. but I get this error.

  26. I finaly spoke with him about it and he claims it's my *keyboard* ?

  28. The keyboard was working fine, and I swap it with another 386
  29. machine's keyboard (which is working fine) and it says the same thing.
  30.  
  31. Anybody suggestions will be appreciated!
